MIA

Hello! Hope that everyone is doing well! Sorry that I have been MIA! We have been really busy and to be honest it is hard to think of stuff to write that isn't totally boring and useless! Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know that we are doing well! We are trying to enjoy this weekend together as Patrick prepares for another "vacation"! Does anyone know how to make time standstill? I would love to give more details about time lines, locations, etc. but the details are what makes Patrick's job so special!! He is amazing and such a blessing. I am grateful that he has given me the ability to be a stay at home mother and I hope that in the near future his job will put us somewhere in the southern states with a Chik-Fil-A!!

Also, I hope that everyone looks at The Fuccillo Family's page! Baby Justus has had many problems and it would help if everyone could keep them in their prayers!

Snowy Weather!

This week has been a blur of cold weather, snow, and countless hours of just sitting around. These last few days there really hasn't been enough snow to get out and play in. Not to mention I really dislike the whole getting wet and cold feeling. I have been complaining NON stop. But, this morning when I woke up to see lots of powdery, soft, beautiful snow I decided to make it worth the trouble of getting dirty!!

From the very beginning of the day Colin knew that we were going outside and has been SO excited! I bundled him up in his snow suit and funny boots. It is amazing to see a child touch something so simple as snow for the first time. He walked all funny and really didn't know what to think! Made me feel bad that I hadn't taken him out in it sooner!! Made me think of all the time I spent complaining when instead I could have been teaching Colin how to make the best of of a crude situation. We played, ran around, sleighed down our driveway, and most of all he just looked around! Sheer amazement in his eyes that the world as he knows it was covered in snow! We went with a few friends to the neighborhood hill to partake in the festivities! What a great time!!
It is easy to be upset about the bad weather when you have Christmas shopping to finish, parties to plan, and groceries to buy. But, when I slowed down for just one day.....I was able to remember how much I loved snow, being outside, laughing at being silly, and I got to share this wonderful snowy day with Colin!! Perfection!! I could not ask for more!!

No More Toys Please!!

Hope that everyone is doing well and enjoying the blistery cold weather we are having here in the great northwest! Burrrrr!! Well, Colin officially has EVERY toy a kid could want! His grandparents (my in-laws whom I have grown to love dearly) have purchased a Silverado Power wheel, which was delivered today AND a motorcycle Power wheel! Goodness, what in the world will my child do with TWO power wheels! This house is getting smaller and smaller!!
